Sounds like early Fall, 2010 is going to be a busy time.

I just had a letter from Barrie (Restall) reporting that plans are in the works for a 25th Anniversary celebration of CHOI Yong Sul's passing.

There is also the Master's event that Rudy (Timmerman) is planning up in Canada.

There may also be more than one Tour Package going to Korea, sponsored by different organizations, about that time.

Gonna hafta pick and choose on these, yes?

Best Wishes,

Bruce

Celebration?
Do you have more details? When will it be? Where will it be?

Right now I have only Barrie (Restall)'s mention of it in his e-mail to me. My educated guess is that it will probably center on the YONG SUL KWAN in central SK. Right now, this is about as much as I know. More to come, I'm sure.

Best Wishes,

Bruce

The 25th Anniversary of Choi's passing will probably be held in 2011! Didn't Choi die in 1986.
Our Seminar will be a great opprotunity for Martial Artist of all styles and ranks to come together for some great training!

Crap...... my mistake, James. You are very right. The 25th Anniversary is being organized for 2011. Thanks for the correction.

Best Wishes,

Bruce

You're so right, Master Sullivan! If you have to pick and choose, I would definitely pick this one. I always like being part of the "first annual" anything if I can! :D I've trained with Master Allison, Master Seo, and Master Murphy...It will definitely be a treat to have them all together for one event!

Don't forget Master Kincaide will be teaching as well. We're going to have a very well rounded seminar.

Master Allision,

I am glad you are moving forward with the masters event as was discussed at Master Seo's seminar. There are several good events lined up for 2010 and I'm starting mine out on January 8-10 in Atlantic City, NJ with Master Goldberg's event. There's a stick seminar that I wanted to attend. Sharing a room with a buddy of mine, airline ticket was right ($240ish), and timing was good since January is typically a slower time.

Of course I'm already preparing for April 16-18, 2010 with our seminar in Crestview. Then onto Grand Master Timmerman's event August 13-15. Your event is looking promising as well. Hope you get a good turnout and make it an annual event.
Best regards,

Thomas Gordon

OK...wait a minute...lets slow down here...... all of these events are getting mushed together and though I am not as senile as I might be, I AM having a bit of trouble sorting all of this out. Unfortunately my lead time for participating is out about 6 months. Soooooo

Could somebody (Thomas? Rudy? Whoever?) put together some kind of timeline. I personally would like to make Rudy's get-together, but I am also interested in making Thomas (Gordon)'s if only to have the experience of attending one of Mstr Seo's presentations. I am also trying to finagle making it to Australia. Help?

Best Wishes,

Bruce

LOL! Hey, it's early senility. They say the mind is the 3rd or 4th thing to go. I forget what I lost before that....

Timeline for Korean type martial art events that I'm interested in are:

April 16-18, 2010 in Crestview, FL hosted by my school
August 13-15, 2010 in Canada (just over Michigan border) hosted by Grand Master Timmerman
September 24-26 in Atlanta, GA hosted by Master Allison
Best regards,

Much Grass

Sounds like a good timeline. I'll put it on my calendar, and will still wait to add the July get-together in Oz when Barrie (Restall) has the information put together. Thanks.

Best Wishes,

Only 9 months to go till our Korean Martial Arts Conference and Awards banquet to be held in Decatur, GA. ( a suburb of Atlanta) If you have never trained with Master Steve Seo or myself we would love to have you attend. We are going to have a great time hitting the mat, twisting each others arms and learning or approving ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually (we are in the bible belt by the way)!

For more information contact Master Claude Sullivan at 404-508-3325 or you can email me off the list. Thanks a bunch and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
